At Sports Concierge Group (SCG), we focus on delivering a truly memorable experience, recognizing that every moment our clients spend at any of our events only comes once, so we only have that one shot at getting it right!
With nearly 40 years of sports hospitality experience, we pride ourselves on our attention to detail throughout the planning process followed by our flawless execution!
Most of all, SCG reflects the passion of our Founder, Phil Sloan, whose professional background in sports and event management and marketing has uniquely prepared him to lead our virtual team – which includes a vast network of event planners, homeowners, caterers, drivers, and housekeepers.
Graduating Harvard College and earning his law degree, Phil set out to become a sports agent, joining ProServ, which represented some of the world’s top professional athletes, including superstars Jimmy Connors in tennis and Michael Jordan in basketball. Recognizing the potential of corporate sponsorship beyond athlete marketing, Phil shifted his focus to televised sports as Director of Events, producing and promoting professional tennis tournaments throughout North America. After spending several years in Tokyo, Japan, where he was responsible for marketing throughout the Far East, Phil returned to the United States intent of entering the fast-growing world of professional golf.
While at Mullen, Arnold Worldwide, and Woolf Associates, Phil created and grew a highly successful EMC Golf Skills Challenge global sponsorship program, which included nearly fifty corporate golf events held throughout North America, Europe, and the Far East, while managing sports hospitality programs in conjunction with the Masters, US Open, Ryder Cup, and other major professional golf events on behalf of such corporate clients as John Hancock, Bank of America, EMC, NetApp, VeriSign, and Athenahealth. Having successfully negotiated title sponsorship of both the Kaanapali Classic and the World Cup, Phil recruited, trained, and managed a Woolf professional team which planned and executed major hospitality programs in conjunction with these PGA Tour events for several years.
